In late November our class had the opportunity to dissect owl pellets, which caused mixed emotions in many of the students. Initially, some noses were turned-up in objection to the task, while other were eager to explore the pellets. In the end, after discovering many tiny animal bones within their pellets, the majority of the kids seemed to have found the experience interesting and exciting.
