UPDATE: We enjoyed this video from the students at Pine Elementary School in Holtville, CA who printed our snowflakes. Most of their students had never even touched snow! (I forgot that I had enlarged the snowflakes before I printed them, so you will notice that they printed very small!) Click on the link below to see their video. (Note: this might be blocked at school.)
Our 3d grade students recently designed and printed some lovely 3D Snowflakes. (More information on the lesson here.) We’d love to share four of the snowflake .stl files with you to print on your own 3D printer.
We’d like to track where our snowflakes travel. If you end up downloading and/or printing one, we’d enjoy it if you would let us know:
- Which snowflake you printed?
- Where you are located?
You can do this by either leaving a comment on this blog post or by tweeting to @karlyb on Twitter. (A picture of you and the snowflake in your location would be awesome, too!)
Here are the snowflakes. Click on the link below each picture to download the file.
