Learning a world language can be difficult, but there are so many great resources out there to help you and your student(s) learn another language! Here is a great Spanish “wordle” full of Spanish cognates (words that are similar in Spanish and in English) that you can print out and use at home with your kiddos! Enjoy learning – que disfruten el aprendizaje!

New Verse: Romanos 10:13

Check out the new Bible verse for Spanish class! We will work on this verse for the next couple weeks! Ask your students to teach you the words and hand motions!

Call upon His name! He has saved us!

Blessings as you learn this verse in Spanish with your student(s)!

El Día del Amor y la Amistad

This year in Spanish class we are focusing on South America and it’s countries/cultures. Our first country is Colombia! Did you know that Colombia celebrates a holiday similar to Valentine’s Day on the third Saturday of September? El día del amor y la amistad or The Day of Love and Friendship is celebrated similarly to how we would celebrate Valentine’s Day. In honor of this fun holiday, 5th graders at SCS created some fun decorations to hang in the hall to share the “love and friendship” with our family at SCS!

So, if you think of it…spread the love and friendship THIS Saturday, el 20 de septiembre 🙂
