We have a lot to be thankful for in first grade! Our turkeys feathers are filled with thankful things. We also wrote thankful books. Watch for all of your child’s thankful projects to come home tomorrow afternoon. I hope that they’ll be good conversation starters for your family this weekend as we all spend time thanking God for the many blessings he has given us.
We had a blast celebrating the 50th day of first grade today!
We wrote about what we will be like when we are 50. Some of us are planning to be veterinarians, some of us are planning to have our drivers licences, some of us are planning to have our own cell phones, and some of us are planning to be moms and dads! Watch for your child’s writing to come home later this week.
We also made a list of 50 things that we love about first grade. Since we’ve been learning in math that 5 groups of 10 is the same as 50 we worked in 5 groups to make lists of ten things, then counted to be sure we had 50 ideas altogether. You can check out the things that we love about first grade in the photos below!
This week we’re focusing on groups of ten. Check out this fun video to practice skip counting at home!
