Our Valentine’s Day party was a sweet success! We created and devoured our own ice cream sundaes!
We started with heaping scoopfuls of ice cream inside waffle cups.
Then we dressed our ice cream with numerous toppings.
The delicious finished product!
A “heart-y” thank you to our moms who hosted our Valentine’s Day party…Thank You!
We are privileged to be able to study God’s Word at school through Bible lessons and Chapel. While it is important to know God’s Word, it is even more important to obey it.
The fifth graders assisted Mrs. Cantrell during Chapel. They led singing time with hand motions and air guitar!
Our art teacher, Mrs. Crouch, illustrated the parable of the wise and foolish builders, or “Rocky” and “Sandy.” We want to build our lives on Jesus, our Rock and firm foundation.
Thank you to all of our parents who contributed food, supplies, time, and effort to make our Christmas party so much fun! We had a great time!
Some of our lovely moms who organized and helped during the party…
Mrs. Hutchison showed us how to make our own snow globes.
Smiling with our finished snow globes!
We feasted on nachos, fruits and veggies, ice cream floats, and donuts that we decorated ourselves!
Funny Fifth Graders! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
During our December visit to Cranbrook, we were able to explore the museum on our own. The highlight of our visit, however, was trying our hands at flint-knapping, or the making of flaked or chipped stone tools. Dr. Stafford, a master flint-knapper, taught us how to shape our stones into a sharp tool using elk antlers.
Our class helped decorate the arbol de gracias, or the tree of thanks,
during Spanish with Senorita Bozeman.
We are thankful to God for His abundant blessings.
We learned the proper way to fold an American flag after reading Hold the Flag High in our reading book.
