The Gingerkids had great fun on Gingerbread Day. Activities included: making a Gingerbread photo ornament, playing with homemade “ginger” scented play-dough, and decorating and eating Gingerbread cookies. We also read several Gingerbread stories and graphed our favorite ones.
The Kindergartners had a great week getting ready for their Thanksgiving feast. Costumes were painted, placemats were made, and songs and scriptures were learned. On the day of the feast, they enjoyed three centers supervised by moms and a grandma; mixing, flattening, cooking, and eating Indian fry bread, playing Thanksgiving Bingo and coloring totem poles, and making a pattern block/counting turkey picture and pine cone turkey centerpiece. The most fun came when the costumes were donned and the feasting began. “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” Psalm 118:1
