October has been a month of many pumpkin activities. The children used a variety of media, working together to create a hallway mural. They learned about the life cycle of pumpkins and wrote about it in their Pumpkin Journal. Real pumpkins were compared and contrasted by size, color, number of seeds, and weight. Pumpkin Day activities included making a book, pumpkin seed addition, playing with pumpkin play-dough, eating pumpkin muffins, and hunting for pumpkins on the playground. It was a “pumpkin-y” month of learning and fun.
