Hi everyone! Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Jennifer Vowles and the Lord has blessed me with the LOVE of helping young children learn! I am honored to be the teacher of the four year old preschool class at Southfield Christian School, and would like to share with you the journey that brought me here! I graduated from The King’s College in Briarcliff Manor, New York with a degree in Elementary Education and then relocated to Michigan where I had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten at Franklin Road Christian School for six years. Along the way I met my amazing husband Steven, and got my Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University. I then took ten years off to pursue being a full time mom to my two BEAUTIFUL sons: Jack (pictured left) was born in 1997, followed by Max (pictured right) in 1999. Having the opportunity to stay home with my boys was an experience that I will always cherish, but I was thrilled to get back into teaching when the chance came. 2014/15 marks my fifth year at SCS…I LOVE having my sons “at school” with me! Jack is a senior and Max is a sophomore this year. They LOVE being “Eagles” and where their SCS blue with PRIDE! It is such a joy to be able to be a part of this phenomenal school as not only a staff member but a parent as well. Every day is a new adventure in preschool! I am honored that God continues to use me to teach His truths to young children as well as lend a hand in shaping and molding them to chase after His glory. Take a peek at our adventures and be BLESSED!
