Hi everyone! Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Jennifer Vowles and the Lord has blessed me with the LOVE of helping young children learn! I am honored to be the teacher and director of the four year old preschool class at Southfield Christian School, and would like to share with you the journey that brought me here! I graduated from The King’s College in Briarcliff Manor, New York with a degree in Elementary Education and then relocated to Michigan where I had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten at Franklin Road Christian School for six years. Along the way I met my amazing husband Steven, and got my Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University. I then took ten years off to pursue being a full time mom to my two BEAUTIFUL sons: Jack, was born in 1997, followed by Max in 1999. Having the opportunity to stay home with my boys was an experience that I will always cherish, but I was thrilled to get back into teaching when the chance came. 2017/18 marks my ninth year at SCS… Both of my boys have phenomenal experiences at SCS, graduated with honors. It is such a joy to be able to be a part of this amazing school as not only a staff member but a parent as well. Every day is a new adventure in preschool! My four year olds’ energy and smiles always gives me a thrll! I love hearing the way their little minds work, and adjusting my teaching to satisfy each precious student! I am honored that God continues to use me to teach His truths to young children as well as lend a hand in shaping and molding them to chase after His glory. Take a peek at our adventures and be BLESSED!
